the comparison is illogical. the author compares having no defective brakes to having no defective (or any) sperm. first off, if you do not have defective brakes (or any brakes at all) it is unlikely to get to the destination without a crash (having defective brakes is far better than having no brakes). so we might presume that by saying "having no defective brakes" he meant "having no defects of brakes". in that case, the same should apply to defective sperm. so to make the comparison work you should say that having brakes without defects is like having sperm without defects which is quite good contrary to what the author said. By all this i wanted to tell you that the comparison which grounded the idea that suing car manufacturer is different from suing a sperm donor does not work and we might assume that there is little to no difference. if a person is concieved with a healthy sperm then it is the as it is with proper brakes - no damages. having defective sperm is like having defective brakes.

besides, what difference does it make? the fact that not using defective sperm would mean someone not being born does not take away any grounds for redress (at least it should not). the person is born and with rights to fair trial and it does not matter that if there was no sperm he would not have been entitled to rights to sue the donor. it almost seems that author is referring to gratitude for being created as a reason not to sue. but referring to gratitude is inappropriate in law (with exceptions, but this is not one of them)

A person I know has been selling this product very hard for the last year or so to the detriment of his own practice....
Answer to point 1 - Purely a profit focused campaign thereby branding the product in a way that it can avoid the rigors of research and testing. The converted will be the marketing voice.

Answer to point 2 - Sales is purely a numbers game and a simple cost effective method for the originators is MLM.

Could someone throw a date in their next post. I'd like to know how old the latest posts are. I am posting on Mar.1/2012.

I will keep it brief. I have read the whole post (a lot of which is the same thing hashed over and over), and the reason I have is because a close friend says she has had health benefits from products as well. Obviously, whether it’s placebo or not the fact is she feels better, so who am I to argue that.

I have a couple of questions.
1) What reason would they have for not performing more testing in order to give proof to the critics, or for that matter to reassure the people taking it?

2) Can someone please tell me why MLM? Really, if this product is so revolutionary, why would Dr. Drapeau subject his findings to such a negatively viewed business practise, other than for pure profit??

Please, if you do respond to this post, only do so if you have a direct answer to the questions, and not opinion.

hi there, I have tried this recipe and would like your opinion. Was I supposed to puncture the marrow at the bottom or not. Your top method says to, but your recipe doesn't. I did. After 8 days and one top up of sugar as you suggest, my marrow has stopped 'dripping' into the jar and on opening it up I can see that there are mold spots around the top (inside) of the marrow. So i've decided to biff it. Do I just seal the liquid I do have and let it 'ferment' for a couple of weeks? I didn't add yeast, and am also curious that other recipes online have not called to puncture the marrow at the bottom - so I assume that the liquid forces it's way through the bottom eventually. What are your thoughts?

This is a very interesting topic, a lot of people are revolted by the idea but at the same time a lot are willing to give it a try. I think it's incredible that some people have had to sue the hospital for the right to take their own placenta home. It's a part of them, so they should have ownership of it, not the hospital. From my research, I haven't found any solid scientific evidence to support the health benefits but women tend to state that there is a positive effect. I don't see much harm in it, so it comes down to the mother's choice in my eyes.
