G-T-C-A
Just when I had finally got BioRad's last viral PCR song out of my head, they come along with a new one. Sing along, to the tune of the Village People's YMCA.

Scientists for Better PCR
Here's a dose of science silliness for you - a friend sent me this video advertisement for a new line of PCR machines. It's a "Band Aid"-esque music video about the polymerase chain reaction. Canadians may find it reminiscent of the 'Got Milk' milk rap advertisements.
"PCR when you need to know 'who's your daddy'"
Check it out here.

Tiny 10$ PCR machine
This very cool piece of gadgetry made by a grad student at Texas A&M University uses microfluidics, to channel the PCR reaction around tubes which are heated by small metal rods. No pumping required since convection keeps things flowing, and it's all done in 20mins! Truly remarkable for 10$ worth of spare parts. Here is a do it at home version of the project.
