Bird Flu and my Tamiflu Stocks

Discussions in the bay about the bird flu H5N1 have largely been skeptical. The first person to person transmissions indicate that not only is there a strong possibility of this being a pandemic virus but also that in host switching from birds to humans the virulence is not diminished.

I can't believe the WHO won't make the info on this case available to the scientific community. If this virus is supposed to be able to wipe out the human population, maybe we should try to find a thing or two out about it. I thought the WHO was concerned with protecting global health, not gathering data and then stifling its dissemination. Interesting though that the American CDC gets to access the info. I'm sure it'll be good for the US economy to have first dibs at vaccine development and capitalize on a deadly pandemic (or even just the threat of one).

I'm not too concerned : No need to become a hermit and go on a 6 months fishing vacation quite yet...
"The virus did not evolve into a pandemic strain — the combination of mutations was not even enough to allow it to spread beyond close family. Many of the genetic changes did not result in the use of different amino acids by the virus. And there were no amino-acid changes in key receptor binding sites known to affect pathogenicity and transmissibility."

My name is Mike Conlin and i would like to show you my personal experience with Tamiflu.

I am 26 years old. Have been on Tamiflu for 5 days now. This stuff ROCKS. I was running a 104 Fever ... felt like I was doing to die, was snapping at everyone, etc. I got home and took my first dose along with a dose of Robotussin for my cough. I woke up 3 hours later and my fever dropped from 103.7 to 99.3. It fluctuated a little after that but remained under 100. Body Aches were gone. I was sweating like a mad man but that was probably the fever breaking.

I have experienced some of these side effects-
Mild nausea .. almost puked on first dose. Also had mental fog going on. Concentration was difficult but my doctor forwarned me it makes you 'loopy'.

I hope this information will be useful to others,
Mike Conlin
