"Caloric restircted" seems to be defined as a percentage of a "full-fed" diet. What the hell is a "full-fed" diet? Maybe "full-fed" really means "all-you-can eat buffet" which is what most lab mice and fat-ass western humans are privileged to. Maybe the whole caloric restriction thing is just another way of saying that it's not healthy to be a chronic overeater. I'd say that outside of excessively wealthy human societies, it's a biological reality that excesses of food are not constantly available, thus our bodies have evolved to best function in such an environment.
