Quack of the Week: Toby Alexander and DNA Activation

According to dnaperfection.com:
"What exactly is DNA Activation?
Most people know that DNA is the 'blueprint of life' and is located in every cell of the body. In addition to each chromosome's 2 strand double helix of DNA, there are an additional 10 etheric strands of DNA available to each human, which have been dormant since the beginning of recorded history. Each additional strand possesses attributes that permit the individual to perform greater human accomplishments. Scientists acknowledge that we currently only use 3% of our current 2 strand DNA. Thus we live in a society where people are sick, unhappy, stressed out, create wars, have difficulty experiencing love, and are totally disconnected with the universe. Most people have to meditate for many years just to have a so-called 'mystical' experience, that's how disconnected we are now. Imagine activating 100% of your 2 strand DNA, PLUS 10 additional strands! You will go from using 10% of your brain to becoming a multi-dimensional being with psychic, telepathic, and manifestation abilities beyond anything you've ever dreamed of. Plus, you will stop the aging process and actually start to rejuvenate to look and feel YOUNGER. This is the Original Divine Blueprint, what man USED to be. It has been written that Jesus had 12 strands of DNA activated. There have been children born throughout the history of humanity to raise the frequency of the planet that have more than 2 strands of DNA active - they are known as Indigo children. These are the incredibly intelligent, loving, and amazing children that are being mistakenly diagnosed as having A.D.D. because they are too smart to pay attention in class. Your DNA is your blueprint of life and is what controls every single function inside each of your cells. If you change your DNA, you really will change your life."

This has got be one of the most blatant corruptions of molecular biology I have ever seen I my entire life. Check out the rest of the site at dnaperfection.com for some more laughs. The material is endless - I can't even begin to cover it all here. These guys are TOTAL lunatics.

my favorite: "It has been written that Jesus had 12 strands of DNA activated" if only Watson and Crick had checked the scriptures first...

Yeah I love that one. I guess Pauling and Wilkins were on the right path after all with their 3-stranded helix models..

before calling it b-s...have you tried it?

PS I realize you'll probably say, "I don't want to waste my $."

Maybe you could explain to him you are trying to prove/disprove his claim(s) and he'll give you a free deal.

Regardless, while his use of scientific terminology and models might be suspect (I'll take your word for now that they are), the proof is in the pudding, as they say.

Let me re-phrase the above... "In "your" opinion (underline opinion) you believe what you've read is one of the most blatant corruptions of molecular biology you have ever seen.... blah de blah...

You then qualify your statement with ehhhh.... not one single shred of evidence - Back to college kido, and check your IQ while your at it!

My definition of a quack is a person who is licensed to practice medicine, and yet cannot even diagnose obvious vitamin and mineral deficiencies. I visited over a dozen medical "professionals" including expensive specialists and not one of them was able to improve my health, and not one of them even attempted to diagnose my obvious vitamin and mineral deficiencies. I then visited a dozen naturopaths, and finally got a real diagnoses of my condition and the vitamins and minerals that I was clearly very deficient, this made me feel a little better, but still feeling very unwell, I tried acupuncture, massage, bought every book and ebook, you name it, I tried it, still feeling unwell. Then I tried the healing sessions from Toby Alexander and finally my health and vitality have returned and I feel wonderful. I don't understand it but I know it works and fast. If you are not prepared to try something new with an open mind then do not have a session from Toby, and continue to live your life with only 3% of your brain working, and with only 10% of the health and vitality that you could experience with the proper help.

He 's ont a lunatic, but an ordinary scammer. I am highly educated and had a well paid job untill I turned seriously ill. I lost everything and live on well fair benefits and food stamps. I spent all my money on dozens of traditional doctors and medeceines, without any result. Although being a skeptic and atheist all my life , I turned to alternative healers, one of them being opur little toby.
I saved up a 100 $ for him, paied it and never heard from him since, even though he in itially 'sensed' I was ready for his help.
I sent about ten e-mails to him since -at first polite, later more real and suggesting to report him to the authorities- and eventually got my money back with some condescending remarks, without interest (it had been about a year or compensation or excuses).
Keep spreading the word about this scammer , maybe we can join forces and sue him;

Sweetie pie you need to do your research because at the moment you are a kindergartener trying to understand algebra. Leave it alone for now and when you are ready you will comprehend Xx

Anonymous Coward..perfect name...why is it always the uninformed who are calling others Quacks? There are so many layers to life and truth that you have made it obvious you are the skeptic (one who lacks knowledge and experience of what they doubt).
You didnt need to blow your cover by opening your mouth and letting out ignorancy...your name says it for you!

So you have decided to condemn what he does - guess Toby needs to tell your side of the story here. If you have a gripe take it to the Law like you say...but then am guessing all isnt true with your story...being well educated simply means you went to school and studied specific topics and then you held a job. It doesnt mean you know everything about everything! Wow! Get a life is what I would advise you, and dont waste your time claiming awkwardly that you know what is truth and what isnt.
